Market Given New Canopies
A grant from Cumbria Communities Fund will give our market a new lease of life!

The oldest of the pop-ups canopies at our popular Farmers Market will be replaced in the next few months thanks to a grant from the Cumbria Communities Fund. This process, which at a usual 3 per year would have taken more than 7 years, will now be rapidly speeded up!

If you've not been to our Farmers' Market yet - you should come along! It supports the residents of Brampton and beyond and is popular with residents and visitors alike. We welcome a wide variety of traders, from fresh fruit and veg, cheese, cake and pies as well as lots of local information, on the last Saturday of the month from 9am.

This grant will help to sustain Brampton Farmers' Market, enabling it to continue to provide this valued service to our community for many years to come.

Our future intention is to purchase up to 2 new Vitabri canopies annually until all the stock has been renewed. Furthermore, older canopies will be refurbished where possible and stored in the Brampton Community Centre where they will be available to support community events and festivals in the surrounding area. These will include open days, school eco focused events, the Forgotten Lands Festival and the revived Lanercost Festival.

Grateful thanks to CCF for proviidng this grant - and Sustainable Brampton welcomes approaches from other local organisations wishing to have a presence at the market, generally at no cost. Just get in touch!
