Repair Cafe Success
A huge part of any sustainable town - saving items from landfill and saving our residents money. Brampton and Fellside repair cafe has launched with support from community organisations!

Over 35 items have been saved from landfill thanks to our repair cafe... and counting!

On the last Saturday of each month our Brampton and Fellside repair cafe is working hard to save the community money and to save items from landfill. Thanks to an army of willing volunteers who organise the venue, repair items and, of course, provide cake, it has been a great success! Repairing items from chairs to bikes, garden tools to lamps and clothes and jewellery we are happy to take a look at almost anything... all free of charge. It's a small step to tackling our 'throwaway' society - as well as helping us to learn skills that are otherwise being lost. Currently hosted at Brampton Community Centre, there are plans to rove around local villages soon.

Brampton and Fellside repair cafe has been made possible by support from the Brampton Community Centre, Brampton Acting Together, Sustainable Brampton, North Pennines AONB and the National Lottery Heritage Fund.
