We rear Red deer and Dexter cattle (the smallest of the traditional breeds) on our upland hill farm on the northern edge of
Cumbria's Lake District.
Our stock are naturally reared and extensively grazed on natural meadows and clover-rich swards. Slowly grown, our meat
has time to develop a mature flavour, whilst remaining tender.
In 2003 we built an abattoir for deer alongside a small modern on-farm butchery, allowing us to prepare our meat to a high standard and traditionally dry age our beef.
We sell direct to the consumer from the farm, from our website and at the following farmers markets in and around Cumbria:
Barnard Castle, first Saturday
Cockermouth, first Saturday
Orton, second Saturday
Penrith, third Tuesday
Cartmel, third Friday
Brough, third Saturday
Kendal, last Friday
Brampton, last Saturday
Rheged, last Sunday
